Meet Our Team

Anooshka Pendyal
President & Founder

Anooshka is an 12th grader at Deep Run High School's Center for Information Technology. She specializes in quantum computing, artificial intelligence, and data science, and she is well versed in Python, Web Development (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript), and Java. Recently, in the 2023 Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF), she won a grand award of 3rd place in the Mathematics category, and she won 2nd in the Virginia Junior Academy of Science Symposium's Mathematics division. She was also awarded a national honorable mention in NCWIT's Aspirations in Computing Award, which is given to only 360 high schoolers across the country. Anooshka is the president of her school's Computer Club and a member of Girls of Center for Information Technology. Since middle school, she has been volunteering and teaching children in programming and math and looks to make an impact on underserved areas that do not have many computer skills. Anooshka has been playing the piano for the past 10 years and has performed at Piano Guild's National Level twice. She is on Richmond Synchro, a synchronized figure skating team, that has won several competitions across the Eastern United States. She plans to study computer science and specialize in artificial intelligence in college. 

Kera Parham
​Chief Operating Officer

Kera Parham is a 12th grader at Deep Run High School, in the Center for Information Technology program (CIT). She is currently taking Honors IT Project Management. She has a good understanding of CSS, and a basic understanding of Python and Java. She also takes Digital Media and Design, a graphic design course at Deep Run High school. She designed this year's CIT spirit wear. She is a member of Computer Club, Girls of CIT, Computer Science Honor Society, and Knitting Club. In her free time, she likes to knit, crochet, and donate scarves to Miles of Scarves, an organization that donates handmade hats, gloves, and scarves to people with Multiple Sclerosis. Kera has been playing the violin for the past 4 years, where she was recently in All-County Orchestra. She also does karate, and she is currently testing for her first degree black belt. Kera plans on studying graphic design with a minor in information technology in college. ​

Christopher Capehart
Director

Christopher is a 12th-grade student and a part of the Center for Information Technology at Deep Run High School. He has taken AP Computer Science Principles and is currently taking Honors Programming. He specializes in Web Development with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ReactJS, and NodeJS, but he also knows Python, Java, and C++. Christopher is a lead at Deep Run's Computer Club and a member of the Blue Cheese FRC Robotics Team. He does programming, computer-aided design, and fabrication for Blue Cheese. His passions are science, math, computer science, and engineering. He's also taking the Virginia Space Coast Scholars online course run by NASA and several colleges to learn more about the Aerospace industry. His goal for the future is to study at MIT, get a Ph.D. in aeronautical and astronautical engineering, and work as an engineer at SpaceX.

Vihaan Dutta
Director

Vihaan is a technology student attending Deep Run High School for the class of 2024. In middle school, Vihaan had won challenges in the Technology Student Association (TSA) and Forensics. Additionally, he had won 4th and 2nd in VEX Robotics Nationals in 6th and 7th grade, and then went on to mentoring his own team in 8th. In high school, he built upon these merits and became an officer for the Deep Run TSA and then went to learn Python programming to an extraordinary extent allowing him to win the Congressional App Challenge of 2021. Furthermore, he had attended a summer course for Computer Systems Technology and passed with a 98. As of 2022, Vihaan has had experience with approximately 10 programming languages, and regularly exercises 3 including Python, Go, and Rust. Similarly, he has worked with cloud providers such as Github and Heroku. He aspires to study computer science after high school and make an impact in the C-Suite of a company shortly after.
