Our Coding Games with Scratch Workshop at Girls' Geek Day was both educational and entertaining!
At this session, we taught elementary school girls in Charlottesville how to make a maze game using Scratch. The game was helping a penguin navigate a maze full of ghosts while finding his friends, and it was perfect for the holiday season! Held on December 9, 2023.
Our Hands-on Programming Workshop with the Reading Enrichment Academy of Learners (REAL) was super fun!
At this interactive workshop, students explored the foundational principles of programming and computer science through fun activities, like coding a "Dinosaur and Bird" game on Scratch and "programming" other students to make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. We also got to explore the math behind binary and make binary bracelets with secret messages! Held on August 5th, 2023.
Our Intro to Python workshop series with Making a Difference for You (MAD4YU) Inc. was an enjoyable experience for both kids and adults!
